That which is most unconscious within us
must of need be projected outward onto others.

At the time of this writing there are riots in the streets of America. Many are enraged at the democratic process which allowed this country to elect Donald J. Trump as the 45th American president.

Let me just quickly state, this is not in any way a political blog.

I am neither a Republican nor a Democrat.

I am an entrepreneur on a mission; and a citizen of this country.

More importantly, I’m a citizen of the world.

I’ve never aspired to be a so-called “self-help guru.”
Even though some may think otherwise. I’m no guru.
What I am is an entrepreneur on a mission,
a guide to help you have the life and business you deserve.im-no-guru-james-arthur-ray-image

Look, building your life and business takes resilience; and true self-awareness is one of the primary factors of building the resilience needed

If you’re not self-aware you don’t know what you’re good at. You’re not honest about how you really think and feel with others.

More importantly, you’re not honest with yourself.

Many are afraid to be totally honest with themselves. Honesty would necessitate change; and change is hard.

Change is hard. It takes a lot of work. That’s why so few people do it.

Frankly, I could give a shit about politics.

Politics and politicians are not going to save or change you. The only person that’s going to be your salvation is you!

And this type of change, and salvation, is going to take a lot of work.

True transformation is not for the weak of mind, heart and spirit.
There is no magic pill. There’s just a lot of self-honesty and a lot of work.

What does all this have to do with growing a business?

Everything.

Your results are a reflection of you.
If you want your results to change, you have to change.your-results-james-arthur-ray

Life is going to throw hard punches. Particularly when you jump into the entrepreneurial arena.

You need resilience, resourcefulness and resolve.

And all of this begins with self-awareness.

Let’s go back to the riots and hateful comments; and how they relate to self-awareness.

Learn more about Self-Awareness in this article.

For a year now the Clinton supporters called the Trump supporters, racists, haters and bigots.

Now these very same accusers are rioting in the streets and even becoming physically violent with those who supported Trump.

Tell me: who are the haters and bigots?

It’s a psychological fact that we tend to get inflamed with the behaviors in others that show the qualities we’re unwilling to accept in ourselves.

When we’re self-aware we realize that everybody has every trait. It only manifests in different ways. Yes, some strategies are more harmful and hurtful than others, but it’s the same trait nonetheless. It’s just showing up differently.

Everybody has every trait.
That which inflames you in others
is what you have not accepted in yourself.

When we’re self-aware we truly know who we are.

Honestly and ruthlessly.

We love and accept ourselves with all our strengths, as well as our idiosyncrasies and shortcomings.

Observation and recognition are the first laws of true transformation.

Self-awareness is one of the most fundamental qualities of resilience.
To truly know yourself is to give yourself permission to be unique and great.self-awareness-james-arthur-ray-image

Life is an incredible school and there is no better classroom than the classroom of entrepreneurship.

It takes a certain amount of courage to break from “The Grand Delusion” (more on this to come), and even step into the entrepreneurial ring.

Oh my friend, but that’s just the beginning now isn’t it?

Get off the bench.

Get into the ring.

Are you truly self-aware and awake?

Or are you still asleep?

See yourself clearly and give every single thing you have to your own awareness and growth.

Stay Awake, Love Life and Be Epic!
