My Story

“You have no guarantee that life will be easy, but you can be sure that you make your life meaningful.”

– James Arthur Ray

James began his career consulting with C-Level Executives at the AT&T School of Business.  He realized his purpose for helping others find their inner genius, their unique gift, and then leveraging it to take themselves to new levels.  His extensive study of behavioral sciences, experience as an entrepreneur, and tireless quest for spiritual knowledge gives him a unique and powerful ability to address issues in both life and business from an integrated level; much deeper and more fulfilling than most are able to accomplish.

His company hit The Inc. 500 in 2009 as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States. James was featured in the film documentary “The Secret,” a ground-breaking feature-length film, and New York Times bestseller.

James has been interviewed in numerous national media outlets including Fortune Magazine, People Magazine, Larry King Live, Piers Morgan, the Today Show, CNN and Oprah.  He is the author of Harmonic Wealth:  The Secret to Attracting the Life You Want and focuses his teachings on the principle of Going Three For Three: how to effectively bring your thoughts, feelings and actions into harmony with bold application. James believes vision without bold action to be a total waste of time.

James’ core principles teach you how to stop being a Dreamer and start being a Doer; and how to access your own personal level of greatness.

In 2009, after rising to the top of the industry, James was involved in a terrible incident that claimed the lives of three of his clients who he cared about deeply.

True to his own teachings, James maintained an attitude of personal responsibility coupled with resilience. James is constantly focused on extensive study of great philosophers, as well as an in-depth analysis of himself.   As a result, he has defined a new approach that will radically disrupt traditional thinking and present a fresh and dynamic approach to being successful in both life and business.

In 2016 a CNN documentary film Enlighten Us, The Rise and Fall of James Arthur Ray debuted at Tribeca Film Festival as well as Mountain Films in Telluride, Colorado. The film is now being shown worldwide on CNN. Subsequently it will go to Netflix.

From the loss of his 3 clients, and through his incarceration, he relied upon his own teachings of how fully to summons his own purpose, determination, and resilience.  James instructs people in how to Build Bulletproof Resilience and Ultimate Performance. He describes himself as a Catalyst to help you create action both at work and in life. Through James’ instruction, his students and clients learn how to be better, live better and do better.

James has helped hundreds of thousands of people and companies, from 143 different countries around the world, develop his unique brand of resilience; and to experience a more successful series of strategies in both their life and their work.

James doesn’t supply the answers. He believes first: That everyone has greatness and genius born within them; and it just needs to be unleashed and leveraged; and second: Anyone who tells people that they have all the answers is a sham. He shuns the titles of Self-Help Guru, and Motivational Speaker. Rather he uses a unique Socratic approach of questioning to bring out the answers from within you.

James’ personal and business experiences have caused him to be considered an expert in leadership, entrepreneurship, mental toughness, resilience and emotional strength. His experience has proven time and time again…that it’s the challenges, adversity, and often crisis, that present the ultimate opportunity for growth and greatness if we’re only willing to utilize them in that way.

“I am inspired by your resiliency! Keep going and doing what you love. Until you have experienced a catastrophe, you won’t know what you are truly made of. If you can come back and rebuild, so can I!!!
You give me hope!”

– A. Ferrara

“James Arthur Ray, good to see you back bud. There were many times I wondered how you would come back from a traumatic experience. You have always been an enlightener, one who will now push forward through this physical experience to continue a vision.”

– A. Grine
