The Spiritual Entrepreneur

At some point you must decide that your entire life is your spiritual practice.
A true spiritual practice is not something you do, it’s who you are.Body-in-light-spiritual

What does spirit have to do with business and life performance?

Well, just about everything.

To live an inspired life is to be plugged into your spirit. To fully ignite your spirit. This is truly being a spiritual entrepreneur.

If you think that life, business, and spirituality are vastly different please think again.

Leadership and entrepreneurship are a spiritual game. Read more about it here.

You must practice any type of tactic,
until you become the tactic; and then you no longer need that tactic.the-matrix4

You see all tactics are a means to an end, not an end in themselves.

Meditation, prayer, contemplation are all good tactics, but they’re only valuable to develop something new within you.

Practicing your craft, diligent work, feedback loops, continuous adjustments and improvements are all just tactics to develop a level of mastery; and facilitating your creation of world-class work.

Since physics as well as all great spiritual traditions tell us
that everything is created from the same thing, then all things must be spiritual.james-arthur-ray-physics

You see when properly understood it’s every bit as spiritual for Michelangelo to carve David, Jordan to slam dunk, and Jobs to build Apple as it is for the monk to sit for hours in zazen practice. There is no such thing as a lack of spirit. Only a limited access to the infinite spiritual energy source surrounding you.

The spiritual entrepreneur understands this truth.

We need a new definition of “spirituality.” It’s every bit as spiritual for Michelangelo to carve David, Jordan to slam dunk, and Jobs to build Apple as it is for a monk to sit for hours in zazen.
There’s no such thing as lack of spirit. Only a lack of awareness.
All things are spiritual.

Artist and entrepreneurs are some of the most inspired and spirit-filled people on the planet. Spiritual entrepreneurs are artists; and they’re bringing their love and their genius to the world.

Unfortunately for most this is rare.

Gallup telling us that 71% of the people surveyed are going to work each day doing something that makes them miserable.

This is the death of spirit, versus its full access and flourishing.

Once you know exactly what you’re here to do.

Then it’s time to go to work.

Masters don’t wait for inspiration. They go to work and let the inspiration come to them. Your work is your love made manifest.

It’s often easier to act your way into a new way of thinking and feeling than it is to think and feel your way into a new way of acting. Don’t think about it. Do it.

So here are three steps to becoming a spiritual entrepreneur. Having a spiritual day. Spiritual days turn into spiritual weeks. Spiritual weeks into months. Months into years; and years into a lifetime.

  1. Be brutally honest with yourself about your inherent skills and abilities.
  2. Totally immerse yourself in utilizing and developing those skills and abilities fully. Even when you don’t feel like it. Give every ounce of energy you have.
  3. Commit to doing it for the rest of your days.

You don’t have to make the choice. The choice has already been made. Your job is to figure out why.
