You’re a spiritual being living in a physical body and world.
Are you a practical person?
Me too.
My experience finds that most practical people initially believe that spirituality has no place in business, finance, or just daily life and accomplishment in general.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
Stick with me and I’ll share with you why it’s imperative to utilize so-called spiritual power to create practical results.
Wisdom is the ability to access and utilize spiritual power
to create practical results.
As we discussed in our previous installment, what spiritual traditions call God or Spirit, the physicist calls Energy. The bottom line is that everything in physical form comes from the same substance. Once again, that substance is conscious and aware.
God sleeps in the rock, dreams in the plant, stirs in the animal and awakens in man.

The first law of thermodynamics tells us that everything is energy and energy can never be created or destroyed.
All that ever was or ever shall be is already here; and it always has been.
Everything is energy from a pine tree to a Porsche to a planet to a person. You are connected to everything. Consider the implications.
Those who express that spiritual power has no place in the boardroom are expressing their ignorance of fundamental laws.
One of the seven laws of the universe is the Law of Correspondence. The LOC was stated in Hermetic tradition as, “As above so below.”
More straightforwardly stated, “If you want to know how the world works, and how you work, look at how the universe works.”
Now before you discount Hermetic Philosophy, let me please remind you that the scientific study of Fractal Geometry tells us unequivocally that everything in nature is repeating patterns.
So, how does all this fit into spiritual purpose?
Astronomy once believed that the Big Bang some 14 billion years ago would eventually be followed by the Big Crunch.
With everything exploding outward at breakneck speed from an initial singularity, it would eventually slow and, gravity taking over, all will be sucked back in.
However, since the invention of the Hubble telescope, we now know that the universe is far from slowing down. In fact, it’s expanding more rapidly than it ever has in recorded history.
Many believe that man’s evolution is slowing down.
The unequivocal fact is that man’s evolution is speeding up!
Faster than it ever has in recorded history.
You’re a part of this rapidly expanding universe and lest you think this has no effect upon you, please think again.
Let’s apply the Law of Correspondence to your spiritual purpose and daily life.
If the universe of which you’re a part is expanding, evolving, and growing, then accordingly, to be in alignment with our cosmic home, you must do the same. Are you with me?
God’s will for this universe, to the best of our knowledge, is growth and evolution. The Law of Correspondence proves this by observation of how the universe behaves.
All the rest of the anthropomorphized projections we place upon God are just our own feeble attempts to understand what can never be fully understood.
God’s will is growth. Period.
You’re a spiritual being, and spirit has one objective:
fuller expansion, experience, and expression.
When those in the pop-spiritual arena state things like “The Universe has your back.” It’s both false and true.
In many cases, it’s not true in the way the masses are defining it. Let me explain.
Universal Intelligence could care less about your small petty desires and comfort. But it does care for your growth. Are you thinking?
If “having your back” means you’re going to be taken care of the way you think you should be, or in the way that’s most comforting or comfortable, you’re drinking the Kool-aide of fantasy and illusion.
You grow the most on the border of chaos and order.
If however, having your back means that you’ll be given the greatest opportunity for your own growth and awakening, then you’re already more awake and on point.
If having your back means that you’ll have what it takes to get through the toughest of challenges and ultimately be guided and protected through them, then you understand the rules of the game.
The greatest of souls have not had easier lives, they’ve actually
had more difficult ones. Getting through these difficulties is what makes
them the greatest of souls; and what makes them an inspiration to us all.
So the first level of purpose, that we as spiritual beings must fully embrace and understand, is that the spirit which animates you wants only fuller expansion, experience, and expression.
Period.
That is your Spiritual Purpose.
No more. No less.
And frankly, the animating principle doesn’t care how you get there. With one caveat. It loves efficiency.
Nature is completely respectful of the outcome but has little respect for the process. Please read that again.
In fact, the Law of Conservation of Energy, again from thermodynamics, tells us that nature always chooses the path of least resistance. Hence, efficiency.
Nature is completely respectful of the outcome, which is evolution
and growth; but has little respect for the process of getting there.
Efficiency is its objective, and it will always move
by the most efficient means to its end.
So what does this mean?
First, your spiritual purpose as well as mine is completely the same.
Your spiritual essence wants only to more fully expand, experience and express. In this way and this way alone, you align with Universal Will.
Second, and this is the rub, to align with your One Spiritual Purpose as well as its love for efficiency, you must commit to putting yourself in the most accelerated growth situations possible.
Unfortunately for your own comfort, both neurosciences and biology, and many other sciences, prove that you learn and grow the most while on the border of chaos and order.
Your commitment to growth, significance, and mastery must be
greater than your commitment to your own comfort.
