Properly understood, leaders in both life and business realize that everything is about relationships. Right relationships are the key to right living.
Most just consider relationships to be romantic, family or friends. While these are all part of right relationships, there’s much more to them than that.
Relationships are everything! Just some of the relationship you have are:
- Relationships with yourself first and foremost…
- With money…
- With your body…
- With your thoughts, feelings and emotions…
- With your mate…
- With nature…
- With food…
- With your spirit and soul…
The list is endless. How well do you relate to each of these fundamental aspects of your life?

Most tend to think that relationships are just romantic, family, or friends.
The Redemptive Leader® realizes that the whole of life is about relationships.
There is so much to be discussed and explored here. Not the least of which is the fact that we are all trapped in a conditioned and socialized mind.
The conditioned mind worships the left-brain intellect which keeps us from relationships on all levels.
The psychologist and author from Leeds Becket University, Steve Taylor, wrote in his book, “The Fall: The Insanity of the Ego and the Dawning of New Life”, that around 4,000 BCE there was a dramatic change in our collective psyche.
Prior to that time, there was no war, no mass inequality, class systems, religion, Satan, or human sacrifices.
All these things came about, according to Taylor’s research, when the psychic shift occurred.
In the book, “The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of Bicameral Mind”, the psychologist Julian Jaynes finds the same shift.
Prior to the shift, the right side communicated with the left in internal voices that our ancestors believed to be the voice of the Gods.
Post the shift, the right brain stopped, and we shifted to left.
We can also collectively call the shift the duality between head and heart.
The left sees everything as separate and disconnected (inductive reasoning), the right sees everything as unified.
The left decodes everything as dots and data versus entire pictures.
The left brain runs today’s politics, the cabal, the shadow forces, science, politics, academics, racial and religious prejudice, media, military, banking, business, mass mentality and mainstream everything.
Mounds of research tell us two things:
1. Emotional Intelligence (Intuition. Intelligence of the heart) is far and away more predictive of both life and business success than IQ ever has been, or ever will be.
So why is it that we continue to focus so much on left brain logic and IQ testing? The fact is that we’re conditioned and trapped by our own conditioning.
You can change a habit with a little discipline, commitment, time, and work.
But to escape your conditioning is often next to impossible.
2. Very few individuals have a high degree of true Self-Awareness and Emotional Intelligence (EQ).
I can’t enumerate how many times I’ve asked someone I’m working with “How do you feel about this situation?” And they answer, “Well, I think I’m…”
Thinking is not a feeling.
For the heart-mind, intuitive-mind to flourish, the thinking
intellectual mind must let go of its control. It doesn’t let go easily.
So, at the end of the day, what we’re conveying is that while relationships are everything and broad reaching, the primary relationship you must have is a deep understanding, Self-Awareness, and emotional intelligence within yourself.
The inside always determines the outside.
