The 22 Imperatives of Leadership: #7 – Leaders Fall in Love

The only way to do great work is to love what you do.
If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking.
~ Steve Jobs

Love is the most powerful force in the universe.

I know that many believe love is squishy, romantic and soft; and certainly, it doesn’t belong in leadership. Certainly not in business.

They don’t get it. They need to think again.

True authentic love, much like authentic leadership, is most often defined improperly.

True Leaders Fall in Love

Authentic love is a momma bear who willingly gives her very life when her cubs are threatened…

Authentic love for a cause and calling is a Spartan Warrior who goes to battle with 299 other warriors, to battle nearly 300,000 Persian soldiers, knowing in advance he will never return…
Authentic love is an Elon Musk who is driven to give all $180M of his proceeds from Paypal to invest in SpaceX, Tesla and Solar City. To continue to this day to often sleep on the floor of his company and work 120-hour weeks towards his cause for a $37,000 per year salary.

The Christian prophet told us, “Greater love hath no man than he who would give his very life for his brother.” John 15:13

This is authentic love, and it’s very rare.

Love is the greatest and most powerful force in the universe.
Not romantic love, but the love that drives a man to give his very life
for the object or outcome of his desire.

The heart is the seat of the soul.

The most recent research proves that the heart is a vital organ. In fact, the most vital organ.

Your heart is primary and fundamental. Forming in your mother’s womb prior to your brain.

Not only is your heart primary to your feelings of fulfillment, but also to the results you create in your life.

This heart-field is called the tube torus; and this toroidal field extends approximately 8 feet beyond the body.

It’s believed to extend even further, and many scientists believe that the 8-foot measurement is limited by our ability to measure.

The heart is 100 times stronger electrically and 5,000 times stronger magnetically than the brain.

Why is this important for your life, your business, and the leadership of both?

This may sound corny, but love is the answer.
There need to be things that make you want to wake up in the morning,
you look forward to the future.
~ Elon Musk

How to fall in love?

Physics tells us that the entire universe is made up of electromagnetic energies, and if we can change the frequency of one it entrains and literally changes the other.

In this entrainment, when you literally fall in love with something, authentic love not romantic idealism, your body and the thing, outcome, idea become synchronized.

They literally become one.

This may sound mystical, it might seem mysterious, but it’s science. Hard core physics.

Choose something you love, and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.
~Confucius

Love is the answer to authentic leadership. It’s the ultimate leadership quality. Love is operating from a higher dimension than that of only height, width and breath in the 3rd dimensional reality.

I am love and I’m the fabric of life, love is the reason for everything.
I’m there in the laughter but I’m also there in the pain.
~ Collateral Beauty

Love is leadership from the spiritual dimension of all creation. Spirit being defined as the animating force of every single living and non-living thing.

Spirit being Life itself.

Love is leading with the heart versus the head.

And when you get this, and you live from this, you authentically lead your life.

You authentically LIVE.

Authentic Leadership is earned through love.

Be a Leader. Live Your Purpose; and Take Your Power Back!
