Life is too short to be concerned with what someone on a free
downloaded  app thinks about you and your life.

What is leadership?

Many are conditioned to believe that leadership is measured by the number of followers or by a popularity contest.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Others believe it’s measured by the things they have and can flaunt.

This is childish thinking as well.

When you have all the things you can possibly flaunt and brag about,
where do you go next if your mission is to impress other people?
Maybe it’s time for a new strategy.

You used to be able to “impress” others by flying first class.

Now that no longer works.

Then it was to charter a plane, then fractional ownership; and now none of those work either.

Now you must own a plane to be impressive.

I could give countless other examples of what this world is focusing on, but I think you get the point.

So many people are so focused on showing off all they have, that they
have no idea who they are. Who are you, when all you have is gone?

Leadership and influence ultimately have nothing to do with any of those things.

Ultimately Leadership and influence and wealth have absolutely nothing to do with what you have.

While “things” might be present, they’re not the cause of wealth, happiness and fulfillment.

And certainly not Leadership.

Leadership is about the impact on the lives of others.

And to have an impact on the lives of others you must first have an impact on your own life.

You can’t give what you don’t have.

What are you focusing on?

Envy or Impact?

True leadership is the willingness to sacrifice your own personal
needs for something of a greater and grander calling.

What are you willing to sacrifice?

Let me promise, you will sacrifice something to gain anything in life.

And if you’re unwilling to sacrifice for your dreams and higher calling, your dreams and higher calling will be the sacrifice.
